
Garut, October 22, 2025 — Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Graduate School Institut Pendidikan Indonesia (IPI) Garut expand their academic partnership network through the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with Indonesian Mathematics Educators’ Society (I-MES) West Java Region and the Faculty of Education Singaperbangsa University (UNSIKA) Karawang, particularly in the Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs in Mathematics Education. This activity, held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, served as an important milestone in strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions and professional associations to enhance the quality of education and research in the field of mathematics education.
The signing ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Graduate School of IPI Garut, the board of I-MES West Java Region, and representatives from the Faculty of Education at UNSIKA. In its remarks, IPI Garut emphasized that this collaboration represents a strategic step in building a collaborative and productive academic ecosystem aimed at enhancing the competencies of educators and researchers in the field of mathematics education.

The scope of this collaboration encompasses a range of academic and professional activities, including the organization of national seminars, workshops, collaborative research, joint scientific publications, and community service initiatives. Additionally, this partnership provides opportunities for faculty and student exchanges, both for research activities and the development of academic competencies, aimed at enriching learning experiences and broadening the global perspectives of the academic community.
Through the synergy between IPI Garut, I-MES, and UNSIKA, it is expected that a collaborative forum will be established to promote pedagogical innovation and research-based curriculum development in the field of mathematics education. This collaboration is also anticipated to enhance the quality of scientific publications, expand the professional networks of faculty and students, and strengthen contributions to the advancement of knowledge and educational practices in mathematics in Indonesia, particularly in the West Java region.

Through this strategic collaboration, the Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Graduate School of IPI Garut are committed to continuously developing mathematics learning innovations that are relevant to the demands of the 21st century, while supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on Quality Education and Goal 17 on Partnerships for the Goals.
