
Garut, 25 September 2025 — Master of Education Technology Study Program, Graduate School Institut Pendidikan Indonesia (IPI) Garut, held an international seminar entitled “Deep Learning in Educational Research and Practice,” featuring Dr. Jabbor Usarov from Chirchiq Davlat Pedagogika Universiteti (ChDPU), UzbekistanThis activity represents one of the implementations of the international guest lecturer program resulting from the collaboration between IPI Garut and ChDPU.
The seminar, held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, was attended by students from the Master’s Program in Educational Technology as well as participants from the general public, including teachers from IPI Garut’s partner schools. The activity aimed to broaden participants’ understanding of deep learning concepts, both as an approach to technology-based immersive learning and as a method of analysis in modern educational research.

In his presentation, Dr. Jabbor Usarov emphasized the importance of applying deep learning to create meaningful and sustainable learning experiences. He explained how the integration of technology, data, and critical reflection can help educators gain a deeper and more contextual understanding of the learning process. “Deep learning is not just about technology, but about how learners construct understanding rooted in real experiences and reflective thinking,” he stated.
The seminar was conducted in an interactive and inspiring manner, with participants actively discussing the application of deep learning in school and higher education contexts. Partner school teachers also shared their experiences regarding the challenges and opportunities of implementing immersive learning in the digital era.

Through this activity, the Master’s Program in Educational Technology at IPI Garut reaffirmed its commitment to continuously offering academic activities that are globally oriented and aligned with the advancement of knowledge. The seminar also strengthened IPI Garut’s position as an institution actively engaging in international collaborations in educational technology and innovative research, in line with the university’s vision to become a leading and globally competitive higher education institution.
