Crossing Borders: IPI Garut Establishes International Collaboration with IBTE Brunei
Garut, Indonesia Institute of Education (IPI) marks another significant step in advancing the internationalization of education. This time, IPI Garut officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE), Brunei Darussalam. This signing marks the beginning of a strategic cross-border collaboration in education, vocational training, and human resource development.
Signing MoU took place in an atmosphere full of collaborative enthusiasm and was attended directly by the leaders of both institutions. The MoU covers various areas of cooperation, including student and faculty exchanges, international internship programs, applied research, and industry-based curriculum development.
The Rector of IPI Garut stated that this collaboration represents a concrete step by IPI in expanding its global partnership network and enhancing the international competitiveness of its graduates. “We believe that through this collaboration, students and faculty will gain relevant global experience, particularly in facing the increasingly competitive challenges of the workforce,” he said.
Meanwhile, IBTE warmly welcomed this collaboration, noting that synergy between educational institutions in Southeast Asia is essential to jointly advance vocational and technical education.
